The forecast was not great, and as I headed over the Cairngorm plateau in the dark it was raining for the first time in weeks. But by the time I dropped down to Loch Avon it was dry and the sunrise was showing more promise. Thankfully the sun lit up Shelter Stone Crag just long enough to take a few photographs.
