Skye is world renowned as a visitor destination. It is the largest of the islands in the Inner Hebrides and was linked to mainland Scotland by a bridge which opened in 1995.
Skye is an island steeped in history and legend. It is dominated by the Black and the Red Cuillin mountains. The rough gabbro rock of the Black Cuillin is favoured by climbers.
